Fr. Wesley graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a ThM before completing the Anglican Studies program at Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary. It was during his time at DTS that a shift in theological convictions led him into the Episcopal Church, and he was ordained as a Deacon after graduation from Nashotah. From there he served various places in Texas – as a curate at Good Shepherd in Terrell, an assisting priest at Holy Nativity in Plano, and finally as Rector for eight years at St. Stephen’s in Sherman -  before being called to St. Mary’s in Lakewood, WA.

Before Washington and in addition to parish ministry he served on the Dallas Diocesan College Ministry Commission by organizing retreats both to help college students deepen their faith and assist in Diocesan-wide college ministry initiatives. He’s also a member of the Anglican Order of Preachers (Dominicans), a religious community in the spirit of St. Dominic which focuses on preaching, teaching, and proclamation of the Gospel.

In his spare time Fr. Wesley enjoys hiking and being among trees, so he is very excited to explore all Washington has to offer. His other interests include historical combat sports, tabletop fantasy gaming, occasionally making his own incense or bookbinding, and recently began learning to play the recorder.

His wife, Alicia, also has a ThM from Dallas Seminary with an emphasis on New Testament studies. They met in seminary while she was on a similar journey into the Episcopal Church, during which they were confirmed together and later married by the Dean of the Cathedral in Dallas. After ten years of working for Disney, she’s recently switched careers by going into the financial sector. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting and gardening.

Rounding out their family are several rescue cats brought all the way from Texas.
